The Montessori School of Chantilly was founded in 2012 and has since graduated hundreds of exceptional students. Our commitment to excellence and involvement in the community is something we take pride in. The mission of the Montessori School of Chantilly is to provide excellence in our Montessori education and care of each child. We will work to provide a complete Montessori program that considers the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development of the child.
Core Principles
Montessori style learning is a child-centered educational approach emphasizing self-directed activity, hands-on learning, and collaborative play. Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, it focuses on fostering independence, critical thinking, and respect for a child's natural pace of development.

Prepared Environment: Classrooms are organized, accessible, and filled with specialized, multi-sensory materials that teach specific concepts.

Mixed-Age Groups: Students are typically grouped in 3-year age spans, allowing younger children to learn from older peers and older children to reinforce their knowledge by helping others.

Teachers as Guides: Instead of lecturing at the front of the room, teachers observe students and introduce new lessons individually or in small groups when a child is ready.

Freedom Within Limits: Children choose their own activities and work at their own pace, guided by ground rules that emphasize respect for others and the classroom

We have programs to help children learn from the time they are infants all the way to kindergarten. Along with our early childhood learning programs, we also offer an elementary support program, which helps students and families who are facing local school district changes. In this program, your elementary school student will be able to complete assignments, engage with other students, participate in fun and educational projects, and more!
